I rebooted after installation. When I close the lid it goes automatically into Suspend. close lid, unplug machine, move to new location, plug in machine, open lid), desktop icons have moved as if the desktop has resized. Without PD, Fn+F7 still works (just cycles between monitors) and the picture is properly framed on the external monitor at higher resolution than possible with PD, so I decided to go check over here
I've only had this bug since I reinstalled windows with all the newest drivers and software tools from lenovo. Our forum is dedicated to helping you find support and solutions for any problems regarding your Windows 7 PC be it Dell, HP, Acer, Asus or a custom build. Then if you close the lid, the empty desktop will (maybe) stay on the other monitor. Try setting it not to automagically reset profiles.

January Or just shut the monitor off if you don't want the desktop to show when the lid is closed... Edit: nope, I do have it installed, and it resizes to 640x480 apparently (maybe it's 800x600). In the shortcut location box, you'll need to enter the correct command, which I've listed for you below.

because i dont always leave it on and closed for long periods it doesnt happen all the time. My others, I'm going to have to put them pretty much where I expect them... So perhaps try an older version of display drivers, if you have an ATI card... plz & thx June 13, 2011 Saurabh Hi, This work good on normal win7 I have installed vmware 7.1 on my win 7 and now it takes too much time to The only thing i can think of is that i tried to force a game to open in fullscreen to the second monitor while having plugged ps3 controller (with MotionInJoy) and As other posts have mentioned, it seems that a BIOS update has caused the hardware to force a return to 1024x768 when the lid is closed. If these do not work, try creating a new user profile and see if the issue remains.
