Hi Paperdoc, been searching for an answer to this problem. I removed the HDD and the system got switched on. When the process is complete, back out of Disk Management and reboot. Than I plag it back in my Win7 Laptop an it is Working fine! why not find out more
The computer says a harddisk is connected but its not showing in my computer? I know that in Disk Management I could re-partition but that is not possible as I cannot see the drive to do anything to it. I have lots of data in my disk. If it cant be seen or read.

When it arrived the disk was immediately recognized by BIOS but won't show up in the Disk Management. My hard drive works on other computers and has worked on my laptop in the past but has done this a few times.
