Below, I've run DISKPART and selected and attached the VHD with these now familiar commands: DISKPART> select vdisk file=d:\VMs\Win8.vhdDISKPART> attach vdisk That will look like this screenshot. Only way around it is to chose advanced options and disable digital signiture option. Still won't boot proprly though! Oh, that and learning my way around Win8 in general. I installed Windows 8 Developer Preview (64 bit) on other partition, the installation went without error. Check This Out
I'm getting a diskpart error: the system cannot find the path specified. (c:\VMs\win8.vhd) but when I boot back into win7 I can select it...Does it have to be initialized on another Setup completed, and I rebooted again to make sure I could get back into Windows 7. First solution just shows the same information with efi file. Anyone know of a fix? other
It's not text, it's graphical and friendly! Not entirely sure what else to try. my Win 8 install proceeded to complete the 2nd and 3rd round of reboot/install and now Win 8 is there nice and clean. Then on cmd type “exit” and press enter.
