This update contains some improvements to Windows Update Client in Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1). Great and thanks a lot!!! I found out via another forum's post that there's another past Windows 7 Update for x64 based systems that needs to be installed (KB3161608) properly which worked for my situation; rather I wiped one of the laptops and installed a fresh install of Windows 7 64-bit. his comment is here

I installed Never 10, and magically I was able to update again.

Searching For Updates On This Computer I do know this was way faster though as it had been searching for 3 FULL days before I started looking for a solution. After all 8 manual updates were installed and PC rebooted it only took 7 minutes to find out that my PC was lacking 187 important updates.

THANKS! I imagine if the rabbit hole gets deep enough it'll start taking similar time to check what it needs but cumulative patches are great for reducing this number. and like always, just let it hang all night. I don't know if the fact the OS language wasn't American/English has to do with this the fact all listed tries didn't solve the problem...
