Eventually I just removed my hard drive using a Hard Disk Enclosure Case (costs less than $10) and saved everything from it on another computer. If there is any data you need to save, copy it off the drive before you run the recovery. another option is that boot from hiren boot cd and use mini xp to boot the pc. I have been working on this issue for the last couple days with no success, been trying different suggestions from different sites. Realized I had blank DVD rw in the drive.
