Since then, my computer does not turn on. Selective boot on the same hardware: Vista UltimateSP2 32bit, installed 2008, never reinstalled, runs still fine. It tries, but gives me the same message that other people are getting part way through. The screen remains black, I hear the whirring motor, and see the blue lights on the keyboard turn on. I am so glad this was the first (and only) page I opened after google-ing the problem. canezzar.
